At our recent CI Research Lunch and Learn session, recent CI recruit Justine Newby shared the “fly exerciser” which is her favourite re-location piece in the UNSW Bioscience Project.
So how does it work? The flies are placed into the bottom square box on the right, a researcher turns the lever on the left to raise the box and flies, and when the button at the front is pressed, the box drops and the flies are forced to fly around for a bit. It’s hard work being a fly.
The UNSW Bioscience Project is being project managed by the Capital Insight team of Rob Hickson, Liz Wallace and Justine Newby.
