Health and Wellbeing Precinct

Australian First Health, Retirement and Education Precinct moves forward

Capital Insight advised the University of Wollongong in relation to the planned Health and Wellbeing Precinct on the Wollongong Innovation Campus, and managed the process of engaging the private sector to partner in the development and operation. The Precinct will offer integrated health and ageing services for the local community, at the same time as research and training opportunities for staff and students. Facilities will be developed for Primary and Community care, Residential Aged Care, Retirement Village living, and a Childcare Centre.

Capital Insight prepared the business case, assisted in defining the project scope, and managed the EOI and RFP processes which have led to the appointment of Lendlease as Preferred Proponent in February 2018. We worked alongside the legal and financial advisers to achieve the optimum partnership between UOW and the private sector through appropriate risk and scope allocation, which led to an innovative and high value outcome for UOW.

We will now lead the negotiation phase, to prepare designs and contract documents, ready for execution in mid-year.  Further detail is provided at the following media links:
