CDU CBD Campus Commencement
The Vice Chancellor, Simon Maddocks, and Federal Senator, Sam McMahon, jointly broke ground on Wednesday on the new Darwin Education and Community Precinct, a $250m development in the Darwin CBD. This follows 18 months of project direction and management by Capital Insight, covering: project definition, business cases, legal and funding agreements, planning, design, and procurement.
The project involves creation of a new campus, plus collocating the Northern Territory library, in a single building to provide a vibrant learning environment that will attract local and international students for decades to come. CDU’s second place ranking in graduate salary and employment in Australia and its top 45 position globally for helping to create sustainable cities and communities, underscores the quality of the institution’s teaching and research. Capital Insight has been pleased to be involved in this exciting project, and is now managing the design finalisation and earthworks contracts.
