Partnership development feasibility and value

Partnership development feasibility and value

A number of sectors are increasingly investigating the value of partnering with the private sector to develop for community and academic facilities – and it is likely to continue.

Some of our Council clients are investigating how community facilities, such as libraries, entertainment centres and community centres can be partially funded through mixed residential-community developments that are feasible for both partners. Universities are also looking at integrated developments with private partners, especially where there are opportunities for academic placements, such as in the health and aged care sectors.

Our recent roles aim to maximise the benefits of the PPPs. This usually starts with service scoping, or feasibility review, and leads to the business case and economic appraisal to justify the project, and recommending the procurement strategy. A couple of these are due to go to the market in the next month, and we are hoping the market responds well.
