Bowral Hospital Works Progressing plus terrific Gateway Results

Capital Insight has been engaged by Health Infrastructure to project manage the design and construction of a new $65 million Clinical Services building at Bowral and District Hospital. The project includes new wards for Emergency, Perioperative, Critical Care Unit, Maternity/Birthing, Paediatrics and Inpatient Units. The project will also incorporate a new main entrance to the hospital, providing improved access for patients, visitors and staff.

Capital Insight’s role includes managing the completion of design in collaboration with the design consultants and hospital users, management of both the Early Works contractor and the Main Building Works contractor during the construction phases, commissioning and handover. Early Works are currently underway to reticulate new and upgrade existing services around the new building and construct new car parking. The Main Building Works for the new Clinical Services building are anticipated to commence in Q2 2019.

The business case was also recently finalised by Capital Insight and has been assessed by the iNSW Gateway Assurance Review scheme. It achieved a very rare 9 out of 9 green ratings – the maximum possible score. Well done to the HI, SWSLHD and Capital Insight team for this great result.
